From a rubber compounding startup in 1964 to a nationally pre-qualified bridge bearing specialist — here is our story.
Hevea Group of companies formed as a niche manufacturer of rubber compounds, laying the foundation for what would become one of India's most respected industrial rubber goods manufacturers.
Commenced production of laminated elastomeric bridge bearings, marking Hevea's entry into a technically demanding segment that would define the company's identity.
Production facility relocated to current dedicated factory premises, enabling significant scale-up in manufacturing capacity and technical infrastructure.
Added two new production lines dedicated to elastomeric bearing manufacturing, doubling output capacity to meet growing infrastructure project demand across India.
Became the first company in South India to be audited and certified by MoRT&H — a central Government agency — recognising our quality and process standards.
Obtained RDSO pre-qualification certificate from Indian Railways for elastomeric bridge bearings, opening access to railway infrastructure projects nationwide.
Commenced production and supply of strip-seal expansion joints for road and railway bridges, broadening the product portfolio to serve a wider range of civil infrastructure needs.
Obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification for the production of elastomeric bearings — a formal endorsement of our quality management processes at an international standard.
Added three new extruder lines to the production facility, significantly enhancing throughput for rubber compound processing and reducing lead times for bulk project orders.
Set roadmaps to become the first company in the segment to be tagged as carbon neutral for the manufacturing of elastomeric bearings — committing to sustainable industrial practices.
Obtained RDSO pre-qualification for the supply of strip-seal expansion joints, making Hevea one of very few companies in India approved by Indian Railways for both bearings and expansion joints.
