Rubber Fenders

Precision-extruded and moulded rubber fenders for ports, jetties and marine berths — protecting vessels and structures with proven rubber engineering since the 1980s.

20+ Years of Marine Fender Expertise

Hevea Rubber Technologies has been supplying rubber fenders to major ports, shipyards and marine installations in India for over two decades. Our marine fender range — D type, W type and Cylindrical — covers the full spectrum of berthing and mooring protection requirements.

All fenders are produced from high-quality, specially compounded rubber that offers outstanding abrasion resistance, resilience and long service life even in aggressive marine environments. Whether for small workboats or heavy-duty port berths, Hevea has the right fender solution.

D Type Fender

The D type rubber fender is a versatile, low-profile extrusion fender suited to low and medium impact berthing operations. Its distinctive D-shaped cross-section provides reliable energy absorption while maintaining a compact profile on the quay face or vessel hull.

Hevea extrudes D type fenders up to 250×250 mm cross-section, and in custom lengths to suit any berth configuration. These fenders are widely used on workboats, fishing vessels, tugboats and general loading stations where moderate protection is required.

Up to 250×250 mm Custom lengths available Low–medium impact Extruded profile
  • Suitable for workboats, fishing boats, tugboats and loading stations
  • Extruded up to 250×250 mm cross-section in continuous lengths
  • Compact D-profile allows mounting on curved or flat hull surfaces
  • High abrasion resistance for long service life in tidal environments
  • Available in standard black natural rubber or custom compound
W Type
Hevea W type rubber fender

W Type Fender

The W type (arch) fender is engineered for high-load berthing applications where excessive dynamic stresses demand a more robust solution. The W-profile geometry distributes impact energy efficiently across the mounting face, reducing peak loads on both vessel and quay structure.

Manufactured by compression moulding, Hevea W type fenders deliver superior energy absorption and reaction force characteristics compared to simpler extrusion profiles. The compound is specifically formulated for abrasion resistance and durability under repeated dynamic loading in marine service.

High energy absorption Compression moulded Heavy duty rating Abrasion resistant
  • Designed for high-load berthing — handles excessive dynamic stresses
  • Compression moulded for consistent cross-section and performance
  • Arch geometry provides high energy-to-reaction force ratio
  • Abrasion-resistant compound for long service life in heavy-use berths
  • Available with pre-drilled mounting holes to match standard bolt patterns

Cylindrical Fender

The cylindrical rubber fender is one of the earliest known fender types and continues to serve a wide variety of marine applications. Its simple hollow-cylinder geometry makes it extremely versatile — suitable for use as a quay fender, jetty fender, pile fender or floating fender system.

Hevea cylindrical fenders are extruded up to 150 mm outer diameter; larger sizes are produced over a mandrel for dimensional accuracy and consistent wall thickness. With over 20 years of experience supplying these fenders to leading Indian ports and shipyards, Hevea delivers consistent quality for every installation.

Up to 150 mm OD extruded Mandrel for larger sizes Port & jetty use Wide size range
  • Earliest known fender type — proven in wide variety of marine applications
  • Extruded up to 150 mm OD; larger diameters produced over mandrel
  • Suitable for quay faces, jetty piles, lock gates and floating berths
  • Simple installation with standard chain or rope suspension systems
  • Resistant to ozone, UV and saltwater degradation for marine longevity
