Bridge Bearings
Three decades of precision-manufactured bridge bearings — elastomeric, POT PTFE and seismic — trusted by India's major infrastructure projects.
About Our Bearings
Elastomeric bearings have been used for more than 60 years in the construction of bridges and are the most widely used type of bearings in India. These bearings are easy to install and can take vertical loads of up to 3800 KN.
With more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing elastomeric bearings, Hevea Rubber Technologies Pvt. Ltd. will be your most suited partner in the supply of these super-critical bridge components. Our products are approved by the most rigorous national bodies and have been supplied to landmark projects across the country.
Product 01
Elastomeric bearings have been used for more than 60 years in bridge construction and are the most widely used type in India. Easy to install and requiring no maintenance, they accommodate thermal movements, rotations and horizontal forces through the natural elasticity of the rubber compound.
Hevea is pre-qualified in MoRT&H, RDSO and DMRC and has been supplying elastomeric bearings to landmark projects across India since 1985 — including the Godavari Bridge, Krishnarajapuram Bridge, Aroor Bridge and Naini Bridge.
Product 02
The POT bearing consists of a cylindrical pot with a non-reinforced elastomeric pad confined inside. A piston attached to the top of the bearing plate transfers the load from the bridge deck to the elastomeric pad, while a seal prevents the elastomeric pad from slipping out of the pot.
Since the elastomeric pad is confined within a metallic cylinder, it provides a load-carrying medium and multidirectional rotational capacity simultaneously. PTFE in combination with stainless steel provides the sliding arrangement — these bearings are commonly referred to as POT cum PTFE Bearings.
Product 03
Hevea has the capability to design, fabricate and supply high damping seismic bearings for base isolation systems for buildings and structures in seismically active zones.
Seismic isolation bearings decouple the structure from ground motion during an earthquake, significantly reducing the forces transmitted to the superstructure. High damping rubber bearings (HDRB) achieve this through the inherent damping properties of specially formulated rubber compounds developed and tested in our in-house laboratory.
